There Are Benefits to being Flexible...Even When You Select a PUA Rider
Having a paid-up additional (PUA) insurance rider on a whole life policy can be useful because it offers you an easy way to increase the value of your policy. When a PUA rider is combined with the policy’s basic coverage, it increases the amount of in-force death benefit and cash value in the policy. Because life is unpredictable, and some years you may have more money and reasons to buy additional insurance than others, MTL's Flex Pay PUA rider may be for you.
Life is Fluid, not Fixed MTL's flexible premium PUA rider, or Flex Pay PUA rider, enables you to increase the amount of paid-up life insurance in your Covenant II and Economax® policies through ongoing, flexible premium payments. Here's how the rider works.
At the time of issue, the policyowner selects a planned premium (not greater than $100,000 per policy year). Every year the rider is in force, you can pay any rider premium amount, as long as you do not exceed the maximum premium or fall below the minimum ($100 per policy year). MTL's Flex Pay PUA rider enables your annual premium payments to be as flexible as your life.
To add MTL's Flex Pay PUA rider to your existing Covenant II or Economax policies or to convert your annual PUA rider on these polices to the Flex, contact your MTL insurance representative or the home office today. You’ll need to submit policy change Form No. 6329-12 30 days prior to the date payment is due on your annual PUA rider if you decide to switch from an annual PUA to MTL's Flex PUA rider. Your insurance representative or the home office can supply the form and assist you with the change process.
