Mutual Trust Provides 67 Care Packages To Impoverished Kids, Seniors and Vets

In June, Mutual Trust teamed up with the Humanitarian Services Project and the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans to provide 67 care packages to impoverished children, seniors and veterans.

Helping Those in Need

Mutual Trust's employee-led Charitable Initiatives Advisory Board organizes approximately 15 activities a year. In June, it teamed up with the Humanitarian Services Program and the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans to provide 67 kits for impoverished children, seniors and veterans.

The Party-in-a-Box, which it assembled for impoverished children ages 3 to 11, will be distributed to these kids on their birthdays. The package includes cake mix, frosting, balloons, party favors, candles and more. The seniors and veterans' kits contain shampoo, conditioner, lip balm, tooth brush and toothpaste, dental floss, lotion, soap, hand sanitizers, and crossword puzzles or a deck of cards.

Later this summer, the Charitable Board will organize an employee-drive to collect treats and toiletries for our troops. They will also sponsor a company-wide volunteer day at the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
